India's Food & Agriculture Supply Chain

India is the world's second-largest producer of rice, wheat, fruits, and vegetables — and the food processing sector is growing at 11% annually. Sourcing food and agriculture products here means access to farm-gate pricing on commodities (rice, spices, sugar) and a deep network of FSSAI-licensed processors for value-added products. The key to reliable supply is verifying the supplier's GST registration, FSSAI license status, and cold-chain capability — especially for perishables and export-grade commodities.

The suppliers below are partners we work with directly. The 23 supplier pages are grouped by product — each includes direct contact numbers and a match reason so you can shortlist without back-and-forth. Send us your requirement and we will take it from there.

Questions buyers ask about food & agriculture

Prices exclude GST and reflect quotes from verified suppliers on PingB2B.

What does 1121 steam basmati rice cost per kg in bulk?

Rs 80-120/kg excluding GST. Aged extra-long-grain basmati costs Rs 80-150/kg, and the premium over 1121 buys grain length and ageing, not a different variety.

What does non-basmati rice cost per kg?

IR 64 and Masuri raw rice cost Rs 28-45/kg. Parboiled Miniket and Swarna cost Rs 35-55/kg, Sona Masoori Rs 55-75/kg and Kolam RV Gold Rs 45-60/kg. All excluding GST.

What is the minimum order for bulk rice?

It varies more than most buyers expect. Some suppliers quote from 50-100 kg per variety in 25 or 50 kg bags; mills more commonly start at 1-2 tonnes per order, and a few ask 2-5 tonnes per grade. Trial lots are widely available, so state your quantity rather than assuming you are below the floor.

How fast is bulk rice delivered?

1-7 days within the supplier's own state. Interstate movement adds transit time and needs an e-way bill for any consignment above Rs 50,000.

What licence must a rice supplier hold?

A valid FSSAI licence, which is mandatory. AGMARK grading is voluntary but gives you an enforceable quality reference in the purchase order, and exports additionally require APEDA registration.
